How can you provide gallery hosting for free?
We are an ad-supported host, which means that all galleries are required to display one of our banner ads on all pages. This helps to offset our server costs.
What gallery scripts do you host?
We can host any type of photo gallery or video site script. A few that we have used and recommend include, Coppermine, Gallery2, 4images, Zen Photo and PHP Motion, though you are free to use any script you like.
Will you install scripts for me?
All account holders are expected to install the script they wish to use themselves. The general process to install a script is fairly easy and involves uploading the script files via FTP, creating a database with Cpanel and then following the install procedure provided by the script developers. Of course, we are happy to help if you require assistance, but we do not perform script installations at this time.
How long does it take to setup my account?
All new applications are reviewed and setup generally within 48-72 hours.
What control panel do you offer?
We use the industry standard Cpanel. Cpanel will allow you to manage your gallery files, upload images, create a database, create email accounts if you have a domain name, check your web stats and more.
Do you do any backups?
All our servers are fully backed up weekly, so your hard work and data is safe. Having said this though, we highly recommend gallery owners to keep backups of your own pictures.
Is it possible to upgrade my current plan?
Certainly. Simply request an upgrade by contacting us either on our forums or through our contact form.
Are there any limits on picture or video size?
We do not place any maximum limit on the size of photos or video that you may upload to your gallery.
What are your server hardware specifications?
All our servers are at least Dual Quad Core (8 cores), with a minimum of 16GB of RAM, and four hard drives in a RAID-10 array which provides redundancy and fast read/write speeds. They also have an additional seperate hard drive to store weekly backups. They are designed to be fast, reliable and secure.
Can you transfer my gallery from my old host?
Unfortunately no, we do not generally transfer galleries however we would be happy to assist you if you need it.
